Ulta Haul

I ventured into Ulta the other day, and despite wanting to go home with everything I saw, I made a few smart purchases.

I picked up Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser. It was only $7.99 and has been a product I have been wanting to try out for some time. I used it almost as soon as I got home. I have pretty oily skin, but it is very sensitive so certain products easily dry my skin out, which just makes my skin oilier. This being said, I was a little nervous to try a new product because my skin has been pretty nice lately. The first time I used this product, I immediately thought my skin looked brighter. I love the smell of this cleanser and it lathers very nicely so it feels light and frothy when you are washing your face. After I cleanse my face, I usually put on Mary Kay Blemish Control Toner and then Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. But since this was a new product, I decided to skip those steps to see how my skin would react. At first, my skin felt refreshed and moist, but after a bit, it started to feel dry so I put a dab of the Clean & Clear moisturizer on. Since then, I have used the Pink Grapefruit Cleanser almost once a day every day. It says on the bottle to use it twice a day, but I don't want to dry out my skin, so once a day is perfect for me. I tend to use it a night so I can wake up to a refresh, bright face.

I also picked up one of my favorite mascara's. Maybelline Great Lash was the first mascara I ever used, but for the past few years, I have been using the Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara. I love that mascara, but I ran out so I wanted to try something else. I saw Maybelline Great Lash when I was in Ulta and decided to try it out again. I am in love! This mascara goes on so well and does not clump at all. It makes my lashes so long and natural. I will probably continue to use this mascara forever, or least until I find something else I fall in love with!

The last product I purchased was Almay TLC Truly Lasting Color Pressed Powder. I wanted to find a creme/powder foundation that I could throw on to do touch-ups or put on quickly when I'm on the go and don't want to go through my whole face routine. Unfortunately, this foundation did not do the trick. I found there was barely any coverage and it was pretty cakey. So I am still on the hunt for a new foundation. If you have any suggestions, please share because I love to hear about what other people use and love!
What are some recent beauty purchases you have made? Have you used any of these products? What did you think of them?

Fun fact: Over a year ago, I was selling Mary Kay products to make a couple extra dollars. I still use quite a few of their products including my staple beauty product, the Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation.
I have a ton of Mary Kay products left over from when I used to be a consultant. I have everything from eye shadows to lip gloss to face products. Would anyone be interested in a Blog Sale? Let me know in a comment below of that's something you would be interested in.
Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by! :)
