Serendipity 3

My first full day in the city was a busy one! I was able to sleep in for the first time in weeks. Once we were up and running, we grabbed a pick me up from Starbucks and made our way to Serendipity in hopes of getting a table without having to wait for 1 to 2 hours. The last time I was in the city we tried stopping in, but the wait was outrageous.
We made it to Serendipity around 4pm and with fingers crossed I walked in to ask the wait time. I was beyond excited when I heard the words "5 minutes." I could not believe it! We had picked a great time to go. We waited for a few minutes before we were seated. When we got to our table, I was so excited and just kept looking around at all of the decorations. My girlfriend came up with a perfect description of Serendipity. The atmosphere is like a scene from Alice in Wonderland. There were little trinkets and knick-knacks everywhere and numerous stained glass chandeliers scattered on the ceiling that created a whimsical feeling.

My favorite part of the Serendipity experience was definitely the menu. It was a gigantic menu covered in doodles and beautiful lettering. I was so distracted by the playful menu that I had a hard time deciding what to order.

Serendipity is famous for their frozen hot chocolate, so, of course, I had to order one. It was phenomenal! It was so rich and chocolaty! Like nothing, I have ever had before! I also order the Monet Salad. It sounds just as beautiful as it tastes. It was full of all kinds of fruits, such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. There were also almonds, gorgonzola, tomatoes, and mushrooms all atop of field greens. Delicious!
If you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend stopping in Serendipity if only to see a piece of Alice's Wonderland. And if you can handle the wait, the frozen hot chocolate is well worth it!
Have you ever been to Serendipity?
