Summer Streaks

I have been on a Summer themed kick lately! I am so excited about today's post! I did something I never thought I would do today. I added some highlights and lowlights to my hair! Ahhh! I know it doesn't sound like much, but to me, it is a pretty big deal. I have only done a full color to my hair once or twice using an at-home kit. I have been thinking about doing this for some time, but the more I thought about it, the more I nervous I would get that it wouldn't look right or that something would go wrong. After much debate and looking at hundreds of photos, I called up my best friend who works at a salon and made an appointment. This morning I showed up to the salon with my dark brown natural drab hair color, and a few hours later I left with beautiful streaks of caramels and auburn. I am so happy with the result! My hair has dimension and depth, and I love it!

I am in love with my hair! I never thought I would play with highlight or lowlights, but I am so glad I gave it a try. These colors are perfect for summer and they give my hair a lively fun look. I can't wait to play around with different hairstyles that will be even more exciting to wear since I will actually be able to see braids and curls since my hair is not all one color.
