In Bloom
This past weekend I was lucky enough to have my mom in the city to visit me for a few days. We had such a great time walking around, finding new restaurants, and attending Jersey Boys on Friday night. The weather was perfect and we must have walked what felt like 20 miles each day.
I showed her some of my favorite spots in NYC from the Jackie O. Reservoir to the best place for bagels and veggie cream cheese. Everywhere we walked flowers and trees were in full bloom. Park Avenue is covered in red tulips, and cherry blossoms shade the reservoir running path.
On Saturday, my mother and I made our way to the East Meadow for an afternoon lounging in the sun. That is sure to be my go-to spot this summer. I am so eager for this semester to come to an end so I can spend more sunny days in the park. Give me a good book and the sunshine and I will be set for hours. Maybe a little catnap for good measure.
