Ulta Haul

A few weeks ago, while I was home on (my last) Spring Break, I stopped into Ulta to look around for a new lip product and some eyeshadows. Lucky for me, Ulta was having their amazing "buy one, get one half off" deal on almost every drugstore brand! I ended up with a handful of great items.

I had heard great things about the NYX Butter Lipsticks so I figured I give them a try. I went for an everyday color I could throw on and a more daring color. Little Susie is the perfect shade of pink to welcome in Spring, while Hunk will be fun for a night out. Both have a bit of sheerness to them so the color is not as overwhelming as it looks in the tube. The formula is very smooth and so hydrating.

A few years ago, I invested in the Urban Decay naked palette and it was the best $50 I've ever spent. The only issue is when it comes to traveling. It is a little big and I am so worried I'm going to break the shadows. I have been trying to find a good travel size eye shadow with colors I will use. Sometimes, I stumble across a great palette, but there are one or two colors that I am just not a fan off. Then I found the Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks! They are the perfect size and you can create your own palette by sliding them together. Genius! They are very pigmented and truly last, even without a primer. I think I may have to grab another one in a slightly darker shade to complete a smokey look.

Lastly, I picked up a nail polish. I was in need of a pale pink shade. I bought Essie's Figi last year, but it has gotten so sticky and clumpy. The day I went Ulta just happened to have all of their nail polish on sale for $2! I was surprised I didn't walk away with more than one, but I have been trying to buy things just to buy things. Sometimes my retail therapy can get a little out of hand. :)
