What I Read: May 2022
I came nowhere near how many books I read last month, but I still feel good about reading 3 books in May.
A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. This was a page-turner. I really liked the main character, Pippa. She is smart and determined. All the suspects and plot twists kept me guessing. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. This book gave me an Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile feel. It was good, but I wasn't blown away. It had an exciting beginning, the middle was a little dull, and it picked up again at the end.
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. This will be an unpopular opinion, but I did not love this book. It was so hyped up and I just expected a lot more. More of what, I am not sure. There was a lot of sex... a lot. But not much character development. Tate falls for a guy she shouldn't. Miles (the guy) can't or won't love Tate or any woman. Tate gets her heart broken by an unavailable guy. Miles comes to terms with a horrible tragedy from his past and finds he can love again. Tale as old as time. Not my favorite storyline.
