Erie Local Spotlight 2022: Oregon Antiques

There are two things that people learn about me pretty quickly. I love secondhand shops and gummy candy. When those two things are put together and tied up with a bow it's the best gift ever! This was exactly the case last Christmas when my boss gave me a gift certificate to Oregon Antiques and candy for our Secret Santa exchange. 

I had never heard of Oregon Antiques until I received this thoughtful gift. Shortly after receiving the gift, I stopped in the shop. It is now a place I frequent. This west side shop is filled with treasures. You may find this surprising, but my favorite thing to buy from Oregon Antiques is the candles made by the owner. They are made with soy and smell so incredible! I leave with at least two candles every trip. Last week, I picked up a candy corn-scented candle and a subtle, but sweet candle called cashmere.

The inventory here moves quickly so be sure to grab pieces right away if you see something you like! During my last visit, there were beautiful mid-century modern pieces. I am not in the market for any furniture, but if I was the shelf pictured above with the lava lamps would have come home with me.
