What I Read: January 2025
January was freezing so the only logical thing to do was curl up with a blanket, a hot cup of tea, my dog and a good book. I read five books to kick of the new year and it was glorious.
First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book has been on my TBR list for years so I was thrilled when my new book club choose it as our very first book! I devoured this book in a few days and fell back in love with reading. I immediately picked up another thriller.
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks
⭐⭐⭐⭐
After finishing First Lie Wins, I needed another thriller book. I picked up The Wife Between Us and could not put it down. The author does an incredible job of reeling you in immediately. The various points of view and twists, keep this book moving quickly.
Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score
⭐⭐⭐
Truthfully, I struggled through 2/3 of this book. The enemies to lovers niche was just not doing it for me, I guess. But the ending came together nicely. All in all I enjoyed this series.
Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez
⭐⭐⭐⭐
A very cute romcom about two people from different backgrounds. This was a nice break from the thrillers I read earlier in the month.
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book was incredible! So much action and adventure! Think Game of Thrones meets Hogwarts (minus the wands) meets Hunger Games (minus the technology). I flew throught this book, and I am almost finished with the second book, Iron Flame.
