What I Read: March 2025
March was a solid month of good books. From romcoms to thrillers, I read a variety of stories.
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book made me cry so many times. I wanted a quick, easy read and had a feeling I'd like this Jimenez book. I highly recommend this friends to lovers romcom that will make you laugh and cry all at once.
Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty
⭐⭐⭐
This was the second book voted on by my book club. I listened to this on Audible and loved the accents of the narrators. It took me about 80 pages to get into this book, but once it got going I was eager to keep listening. Overall, I really liked the story lines of some of the characters, but ultimately felt let down with how it all wrapped up.
Well Behaved Wives by Amy Sue Nathan
⭐⭐⭐
This was the March choice for my book club. I love historical fiction so I was excited about this one. This feminist read was empowering, but I would have loved more detail about the main characters college experiences and law degree background. (TW: spousal abuse, mental illness)
None of This is True by Lisa Jewell
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This fast-paced thriller was a wild ride. A popular podcaster, Alix, meets an woman, Josie, who approaches Alix about doing a podcast of Josie's life. Alix agrees and once she sits down with Josie she cannot believe her story. Josie's life has been so difficult and Josie's husband might have groomed her when Josie was just 16. The lies, manipulation, and fear will grip you while reading this book. (TW: spousal abuse, mental illness, self harm)
