Simple Luxuries
I love to read. Unfortunately, with my schedule, I am not always able to enjoy that simple luxury. While I was at home last week I ventured to my nearest Barnes & Noble and decided to pick up a few books. I did not really have anything in mind, but I am very happy with what I stumbled upon.
I love books with fun facts about some of my favorite places, so when I saw Little Known Facts about Well-Known Places: New York it was a no-brainer. I have learned so much about the city I love and it is such a fun read. This is a great coffee table book, and I can't wait to display it for others to enjoy when I have a place of my own.
I read a great review about Bond Girl by Erin Duffy so when I saw it on the shelf I grabbed it. I am currently halfway through, and I hate having to put it down. I have been scouring a bit each day on my subway commute to school. I feel like a true New Yorker when I read on the subway, and I love it. It makes the ride much quicker and allows me to relax and gives me a chance to read something that isn't a textbook.
The third book I picked up is Her Fearful Symmetry by Andrey Niffenegger. This book caught my attention because it is written by the same author of The Time Traveler's Wife. I adore that book, so I thought I would give another one of her books a try.
Have you read any of these books? What other books do you recommend for when I finish these ones?
