Fall-ing Temperatures
So, it's September 9th and currently 80+ degrees. I know I should not complain, and I suppose I'm not, but I am really looking forward to 60-70 degree days. I have already done a bit of fall shopping. Aside from the cape and lipstick, all of these items are in my wardrobe and I am certain they will all be apart of my fall staples.
For apparel, I fell in love with this Oversized Plaid Shirt from Express. It is so soft and slouchy in all the right places. I love that it goes great with dark or light denim. I am still on the hunt for the perfect cape, but this Blanket Cape is a strong contender. Until it gets too cold, I plan on wearing a cape as outerwear. The Lace Up Pointed Flats from Topshop arrived the other day and I wore them to work yesterday. You know how with new shoes it can take a few wears to break them in? With these, the material is already so soft, I had no problem wearing them all day without getting a single blister. So, I know I have mentioned this bag before, but the Reversible Tote from Shoedazzle has quickly become my favorite bag.
Now let's talk beauty. I randomly picked up theBalm Eye Shadow Palette while waiting in line at Kohls. The checkout items get me every time. I'm looking at you, Sephora. Oddly enough, I am feeling pale polishes for fall. It may be due to the fact that I gravitate towards darker wardrobe items. I feel as though a pastel polish, like the Deborah Lippmann P.Y.T. Polish, will soften the whole look. However, I do not feel the same way about lipsticks. Give me dark and vampy Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lipstick.
What fall staples are you adding to your closet this season?
