June Favorites

I cannot believe it has been over one month since I last posted! My Masters program takes up a majority of my time.  When I am not working on PowerPoint presentations, I have been enjoying this wonderful summer. Aside from a few rainy days, it has been blue skies and sunshine. It's the kind of weather that just makes you happy. While we are halfway through July, I still wanted to talk about a few other things that have made me happy this past month.

I can remember the day I discovered Jo Malone like it was yesterday. I was exploring the quiet streets of the West Village on a sunny Spring day. I probably was in the area for a Magnolia cupcake or their incredible Banana Bread Pudding (or both!). I was walking through the cobblestone streets under a canopy of greenery when I saw the Jo Malone store. The window display was so inviting. The colorful flowers grabbed my attention and I went inside where I was greeted with so many wonderful scents. I left with two samples that were lovely alone, but magical when used together. It has been years and I finally just purchased both scents. Orange Blossom and Peony & Blush Suede offer the incredible mixture of floral and citrus. Together or solo, these perfumes are perfect for warm summer days and nights.

I do not often burn candles in the summer, but when I came across this adorable candle in a cement holder, I had to have it. I am halfway through burning it, and I am just as excited to use the container to hold pens or Q-Tips once it burns through. I picked up the candle and ring holder at a local shop, Sunshine & Bluebirds. I like to stop in every once in a while to see what's new and I never leave empty handed. The ring holder was just too darling. I love the shades of blue and the size is perfect to hold my favorite rings.
