Unboxing: July 2017 Birchbox

Last month I decided to resubscribe to Birchbox. I was receiving the Sephora Play! Box, but I was missing my Birchbox subscription, to be honest. 

My July box arrived about a week ago, and I was so thrilled when I opened it up. I have tried each sample and truly love these products. I will definitely be ordering the full-size items once I have used up the samples.

The Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Gel Eye Makeup Remover was so gentle on my eyes and took off the mascara with ease. To remove eye makeup, I use the Neutrogena Cleaning Towelettes and Garnier Micellar Water, but there are times when I wake up with a little black residue under my eyes. When I used the Marcelle product, no raccoon eyes in the morning!

In the summer, I don't need a moisturizer since my skin is pretty happy with the warm weather, but every once in a while I go through a dry spell. When I tried the Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer, I was immediately blown away. It has a gel like consistency, which I really like. This product does not make my skin feel greasy. Instead my skin was smooth and hydrated. I may have to start using this regularly. I just loved the way my skin looked and felt. 

I really do not put much product in my hair outside of the shower. Lately, I have been using a small amount of leave-in conditioner for my ends. They tend to get a little dried out in the summer. Besides a detangler, I don't used hair sprays or beach sprays. I was not sure what to expect when I tested out the amika Un.Done Texture Spray, but I ended up really liking it. It gave my limp, thin hair some much needed volume and did not leave a tacky feeling. This would be a great product to pair with dry shampoo when trying to avoid washing your hair for a day or two.

I recently purchased the Glossier Cloud Paint and I love the consistency and feel of a cream blush. I was super excited to try the Beautaniq Beauty Blush Serum. It is a bright pink, which I love for summer, and while it looks very pigmented, it it easily blended so you don't look like a clown. I have worn this just about every day since I received it and I cannot get enough. It lasts all day and looks so natural. This is one of my favorite samples.

Mascara might be one of my favorite beauty products. Every time I put mascara on I am amazed at how it makes my eyes pop. That might be why I am a mascara junkie. I love trying new mascara, but I am also very picky. My go-to, up until recently, was Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes. That was until I tried The Beauty Crop Fabulous Flocking Lashes Waterproof Mascara. This stuff is amazing! It elongates my lashes without clumping or making them feel weighed down. Along with the blush, I have also been using this everyday. 

I cannot wait to see what the August Birchbox brings! Fingers crossed it is just as amazing as my July box!
