Good Better Best: Face Wipes

There are two things I look forward to at the end of a long day: taking of my bra (amiright, ladies!) and washing my face. And well, sinking into my comfy bed, but who doesn't love that. There is always one product I HAVE to use when taking off my makeup- face wipes. I find they are the easiest way to remove the makeup and buildup of the day. I have been using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes for quite a few years. They worked well enough, so I never strayed. Then I heard about two other towelettes and curiosity got the best of me so, of course, I had to see if they were worth the hype. For me, they were not. Here are my thoughts:

Good- Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. When I first used these wipes, I was satisfied. My skin felt refreshed and clean, and I liked that I was using a product that was made with simple ingredients. It wasn't until I used the Garnier Micellar Water that I realized just how simple the wipes were. So much makeup came off on the cotton ball, I felt like the wipes didn't do a thing! Needless to say, I have not used them since. Keep in mind, I do not cake on the makeup, so it's not like there was too much product on my face to begin with so that made the results very shocking.

Better- Trader Joe's Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover. I read about these facial wipes in a Buzzfeed article, so obviously I had to give them a shot. The first time I used them, they made my skin tingle alittle bit, which was very odd. I rinsed with water and was fine, but it was strange. I had never experienced that with a facial wipe before. The second use, there was no tingling feeling, so I'm not sure if it was a weird reaction to something I was wearing the first time. Unfortunately, just like with the Simple wipes, the cotton ball told it all. Lots of left over residue. I do understand these wipes won't take everything off, but I do think they should take at least 80% of the makeup off, right?

Best- Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes. So that brings me back to my number one. I am sorry I ever strayed and I (probably) won't again. These wipes are old faithful. My skin is happiest with these wipes and they get the job done.

I'd love to know, which facial wipes are your old faithful?
