Thrift Finds in May 2022: Kitchen & Home
An accidental theme developed this month. Each time I went thrifting, a new kitchen tool came home with me. I checked so many items off my kitchen bucket list in just one month.
I found these mini muffin tins for $1.50. I broke these in the other day and baked blueberry muffins. I used a Jiffy mix for the first time. How cute is the packaging? The muffins turned out very fluffy, but a tad dry and not very sweet. I want to test a chocolate chip recipe next.
I've had a mortar and pestle on my kitchen bucket list for years. Every time I stopped in Marshalls I would always see them, but I just couldn't commit. The marble ones were too heavy and the wood ones were too small. There was always some excuse. Please it wasn't something I needed, I just wanted one to step up my cooking game. I found this beautiful wood one at my favorite thrift shop for $5 and it was totally worth the wait.
This wicker utensil caddy was only $3 at Goodwill and it is so cute! It's in great shape and it's already been put to use a few times. It was perfect on Mother's Day when we had stuffed burgers. It held all the utensils, napkins, condiments, salt, and pepper.
This cream and sugar set reminds me of my grandparent's dishes. I think that's why I was drawn to them. I don't put sugar in my coffee so I use the sugar jar to hold my tea packets. With my coffee, I've started frothing creamer in the little pitcher. These sweet pieces add such a nice touch to my morning routine.
The best thrift find of May is this gorgeous Le Creuset baking dish. This is the only item I haven't used yet. I have been waiting to find the perfect recipe. Silly, but true. If you have any suggestions let me know! I'm thinking maybe a strawberry cake? TBD.
Thrifting was good in May! I also found some cute spring/summer clothing pieces. Blog post coming soon...
