Saturday Stroll in North East

I love date nights with my husband and I love girls' nights with the ladies, but I also love a solo date. Saturday mornings have become my solo date days. A few Saturdays ago I spent a solo date exploring North East. North East is about 20 minutes from my house via the highway or 30 minutes on the backroads. It's a cute little town near the NY border and in the middle of Lake Erie Wine Country. In the center of town is Gibson Park. In the summer, there are farmers' markets, concerts, and festivals! I have visited North East many times, but recently some new shops have popped up. The great thing about North East is you can park your car and walk to a majority of the shops on the main street.

Here is how I spent a slow Saturday in North East a few weeks ago.

Of course, I had to stop at a North East staple, The Bean Coffee House. I ordered an iced coffee and tried their Dill Pickle Panini for the first time. It was so good! This grilled sammy was filled with melted cheese, dill pickles, and mustard. For someone who loves pickles, this panini was incredible!

My first stop was Tia Book Cellar. It was my first time visiting, but certainly won't be my last. The owner was so friendly and made me feel very welcome. She had some great book recommendations and I ended up buying three new books!

Just around the corner is re.Found.ry. This shop has two levels and houses antiques, vintage, salvaged, and collectible items. I did not find anything during this visit, but so many items caught my eye.

I have a big sweet tooth so when I heard Dragonfly Sweets opened up I was very excited to try their treats! I bought a cupcake, two cookies, and a cake pop to share with B. The cookies were my favorite!

Do you like to go on solo dates? What does your perfect solo date look like?
