Monthly Favorites: August 2024

August was incredible! From local music festivals to a work trip Columbus filled with delicious food, it was a very special month.

It was my and B's first time attending Blues and Jazz Fest at Frontier Park and it was fantastic! The music was great, the weather was amazing, and the local brews were flowing.

Mid-August I attended the ESTO conference that was held in Columbus this year. It was a great networking and learning experience. Humble brag: our team won an award for The Ultimate Sunblock campaign surrounding the Total Solar Eclipse that took place on April 8, 2024!

The food scene in Columbus was surprising in the best way! One morning, before the conference started, I went on a solo trip to Parable Cafe. It's an adorable coffee shop covered in lucious plants that transforms into a bar at night. On our last day in Columbus, my ceo and marketing director stopped by the German Village to grab breakfast at Fox in the Snow. They claim to have the best breakfast sandwich and after trying it for myself I can back that claim up. It was so flavorful! They also serve some of the most beautiful (and tasty) pastries. I still dream about this spot.

The sunsets were spectacular in August. Kite Beach at Presque Isle State Park is our go-to sunset spot.

August is a bit soon to be looking for fall leaves, but our maple tree started to change colors by the end of the month. A few bright orangey red leaves were scattered across the lawn and I was a little too excited when I found them.
