What I Read: September 2024

By the time September rolled around I was ready for some fun, spooky seasons reads. I eased into the spooky season genre with a very haunted, Hallmark-like rom-com.

Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca
I would categorize this as a Hallmark Halloween rom com and I loved it! The story takes place in a small Florida town known for being haunted by various ghost. New to town, Cassie, bought a house and works from home. She slowly starts to see and hear things that make her think she's not all alone in her home. Just down the road, Nick is the owner of the Hallowed Grounds coffee shop, who was born and raised in Boneyard Key. Will the ghosts of Boneyard Key drive Cassie away? Super cute and fun read for fall!

Things We Hide from the Light by Lucy Score
This is the second book in the Knockemout Series. While I liked this book, it was a bit of a tough read. There are some intense things the main character is working though, such as PTSD and anxiety. Even with some heavier topics, this was a good book and I am excited to read the third and final book in this series.
