Summer Wish List 2025
I’ve heard people say that summer ends after the 4th of July—but for me, it’s just getting started. So far, the season has been filled with beach walks, golden sunsets, and slow lake days. But there are still a few things I want to check off my list before summer slips away.
Feeling inspired, I got a little crafty while dreaming up this post. I created a fun spread in my junk journal using cutouts from one of my favorite magazines, Mantra Wellness. It felt like a fitting way to bring my intentions to life—colorful, creative, and full of good energy.
Of course, lounging on the beaches at Presque Isle is a top priority. But this year, I also want to try paddleboarding. Presque Isle Canoe & Boat Livery offers paddleboard rentals for about $20 an hour, and it feels like the perfect way to soak up the sun and get a little movement in.
When I’m not stretched out on a towel with a book, you’ll probably find me in child’s pose at Beach 1 for Sunday morning yoga. It sounds like a great way to start the week: grounded, peaceful, and facing the lake.
If I had to pick a word for the season, it would be energetic. As soon as the warm weather arrived, I felt life rush back into me. I want to keep that energy going by moving as much as possible. We’ve been exploring the trails at Presque Isle, but one spot that’s been on my list for a while is Panama Rocks. Located in Chautauqua County, it’s a scenic rock park with trails, caves, and crevices for all hiking levels. The photos of this ancient forest look absolutely magical.
Last week, I stopped at a roadside fruit stand and had some of the best cherries of my life. Since then, I’ve vowed to pull over at every fruit stand I pass and visit as many farmers markets as I can. There’s truly no comparison to fresh, local produce. Give me all the fruit.
