A Baking Classic: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last night, I was in the mood the bake but didn't want to do anything too extravagant so I turned to a kitchen classic. The chocolate chip cookie. I have probably been baking chocolate chip cookies since the age of 2. When I think of this classic recipe I always think of my mom. We used to bake these all the time when I was little. My fondest memory is coming home from school one day when I was about 10 and finding an entire bowl of raw cookie dough. After being in school all day, this was the perfect coming home surprise. I ate a few bites of the raw dough before my mom and I scooped out the rest to bake. Chocolate chip cookies will always be my comfort food, a reminder of my mother, and my all-time favorite cookie recipe.
