My 3 Favorite Ready-to-Wear Collections from NYFW (And How I'm Using Them to Inspire My Fall Wardrobe)

Fashion Month is still going strong. London Fashion Week was last week and Milan is going strong. J.Lo just closed out a Versace show in THE green dress. So far I have seen some beautiful designs. While the clothing is beautiful, sometimes the looks that come down the runway are not realistic for most people's day to day lifestyle. However, they do serve as major inspo for my wardrobe. I always turn to Fashion Month for ways to refresh and update my wardrobe with little to no new purchases. There were a few wearable collections that really spoke to my style.

Brandon Maxwell
This look seems simple. It is not anything we aren't familiar with and it doesn't reinvent the wheel. But simplicity doesn't mean its bad or boring. To me, this outfit is perfection. It's a sleek and put together look that has a timeless feel to it. Layering is always in style, but the shades of blue elevates this look to its full potential. Blue looks like it's going to be a big color next spring. For now, substitute to the blue for an all tan or orange look for fall.
I am am big fan of the dark yellows for fall. This blazer is so sharp. The color, the long fit and slinky material make this hashtag blazer goals. Alexa, add long blazer to my wish list.

Kate Spade
Basically the entire Kate Spade Spring 2020 collection is my dream wardrobe. The theme was The Secret Garden and this was told through the clothing and the incredible plant props. I am a plant lady so this whole show stole my little green heart. The midi length is my new go to for dresses. I plan on wearing my dresses for as long as possibly by adding a long sleeve shirt underneath or a chunky sweater.

Mansur Gavriel
This sweater makes me so happy and it also comes in pink! I love the bright sky blue and oversized fit. I'm a sucker for a monochrome look. This fall all I want to wear is oversized sweaters and skirts.
