My Clean Haircare Products

I hope you enjoyed the clean skincare post. Let's jump right into the clean haircare products I have been loving. I promise this is not an ad, I just love one haircare brand in particular. I made the switch to Briogeo in September 2020 and haven't looked back. 

Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind banana + coconut nourishing superfood shampoo ($28) I recently switched from the Be Gentle, Be Kind matcha + apple replenishing superfood shampoo. I loved the matcha + apple formula. It made my hair so shiny and strong, but I wanted to try something to really help my dried ends. After just a week of using the banana + coconut shampoo, my hair looks so much healthier!

Brioegeo Be Gentle, Be Kind kale + apple replenishing superfood conditioner ($28) This conditioner lasts such a long time. I believe this is only my 2nd bottle in over 6 months. I use a very small amount since my hair tends to be oily and conditioner can weigh it down. But as soon as I add the conditioner I can feel my hair instantly soften and plump up. The volume my hair gets with this condition is unreal! I used to skip conditioning sometimes, but not anymore. I love how luxurious my hair feels because of this product.

Briogeo Curl Charisma™ rice amino + avocado leave-in defining crème ($20) This product is the key to smooth and bouncy waves. I use about a nickel-sized amount on damp hair and apply from root to tip. This product does not weigh my hair down like some leave-in conditioners and it really helps to keep frizziness at bay.

Briogeo Scalp Revival charcoal + biotin dry shampoo ($24) I was looking for the right dry shampoo for a while after I learned many aerosol dry shampoos contain butane, which can thin out your hair over time. This dry shampoo is a powder that poofs out when you squeeze the bottle. For me, the formula is much more effective than aerosol dry shampoos. The charcoal really soaks up the excess oils. I can do an extra day or two without washing my hair, which sounds gross but fewer washes are better for your hair!

How is Brigeo clean? Briogeo is 6-free hair care, which means their formulas are free of harsh sulfates (SLS/SLES), silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA, and artificial dyes, as well as hundreds of other “no-no” ingredients. They also use a proprietary blend of potent Natural Oils, Vitamins, and Antioxidants in every product formula. This picture was taken earlier today. I washed my hair yesterday and let it air dry. My hair looks so shiny and healthy. A combination of the awesome ingredients and avoiding hot tools leaves me with a perfectly undone style. My natural waves have never looked better.  If you were thinking about trying clean haircare, I can't recommend Briogeo enough. It's worth the hype and the price tag. I purchase the shampoo every 2 months and the conditioner every 3 months. A little goes a long way. If you want to ease into the clean world, Love Beauty and Planet has great products and prices, and it's sold at Target. I have also heard good things about this brand.
