Erie Local Spotlight 2022: Asbury Woods Winter Wonderland
My new job is absolutely amazing, and I feel so lucky to have this new position. Because of my job, I am exploring Erie more than ever before. For my newest work project Asbury Woods. Now through December 31, Asbury Woods is filled with holiday lights for Winter Wonderland. It was my first time attending this event and it was magical. Holiday lights twinkle in the woods and wetlands along the boardwalk. This wintery walk in the woods is about 1/3 mile. Once you walk through the light show, head over to the nature center to see little critters, stop in the gift shop, and admire the Christmas Village filled with dozens of miniature houses, shops, and trains.
This was a magical evening walking in the woods. I definitely want to go back at least one more time before the end of the month. The lighted boardwalk and Nature Center at Asbury Woods are free and open to the public. Donations are accepted, but not required.
