Thrift Finds: Holiday 2022

I had a fantastic thrift haul over the weekend. I was in search of holiday décor and I came home with some beautiful pieces that I am so excited to adorn my home with.

I have a soft spot for cute containers/canisters/jars. I almost put it back on the shelf, but I am so glad I decided to bring it home.

Last year, picked up four painted wood village pieces. The blocks are stamped with a date and brand name on the bottom. They read 'The Cat's Meow" and most are from 1988, with a few dated 1990. I thought they were so cute when I first spotted them at Green Scene. When I pulled them out of storage this year, I wished I had bought more.  I was so surprised when I came across a basket full during my trip to GS on Saturday. I cannot believe they weren't snatched up in the past year!

I also picked up this beautiful ceramic church. I plan on creating a Christmas Village with pieces I already have and some pieces I hope to find this holiday season.

I plan on adding this house to the Christmas village as well, but in the meantime wanted to add some holiday cheer to the shelves. This figurine doubles as a secret storage container. The roof comes off to reveal a small cavity. What I will store inside, I am unsure.

This next purchase is not necessarily holiday themed, but I will be using them to enjoy some spirits this holiday season. I love the twisted stem and beautiful colors. They are already proudly displayed on our bar cart.
