Erie Local Spotlight 2023: Flip Cafe

 I love a good diner. Diner coffee, diner food, diner vibes. When I heard there was an amazing diner in Edinboro, just outside of Erie, I was very excited to check it out. Flip Cafe is a staple in Edinboro. It's a small space, but packed with friendly customers and incredible menu items. Flips even offers iced coffee, which is hard to come by at a diner. 

I am all about balance. I like to have a savory and sweet item for breakfast. I ordered a huge breakfast sandwich called the Long Haul. It was perfection. Loaded with eggs, cheese and bacon with a golden toasted bread. I also ordered something to satisfy my sweet tooth, the Blueberry Ricotta French Toast. Wow, the french toast was so good! I am still thinking about it. We also ordered flips for the table. These remind me of beignets. They were so light, fluffy and covered in powdered sugar - a must order when you go to Flips.

Three of my girl friends and I ventured to Flips. A few of us from the group had been there before and knew the ins and outs. Here are two helpful tips when visiting this diner.

Tip #1: Get there early. We arrived around 8:30 am and it was filling up. By the time we left, there was a line forming out the door. 

Tip #2: Everything on the menu is good! 

I am so glad I check this spot off my list and I cannot wait to go back!
