Erie Local Spotlight: Bakery on 5th

A new bakery opened in downtown Erie and it is my new favorite place to grab a sweet treat! Bakery on 5th is a women-owned bakery that specializies in French pastries and Turkish foods. 

Formally a Starbucks, Bakery on 5th has completely transformed the space into a cozy coffee shop with ample seating and colorful, green decor. When you walk in, trays and trays filled with beautiful, freshly made goodies are laid out on display. From sweet to savory, there is soemthing for everyone's palette. 

I have stopped in twice now, spent close to $30 each time, and still haven't tried half of the menu! So far my personal favorites are the Pistachio Cream Roll, macarons, and their take on a cheese Danish with fresh fruit. The coffee is also great! I opted for their cappuccino both times I stopped in. I am a big fam of a foamy coffee, so this hit the spot.
