Spring Things in Erie

Happy first day of spring! When spring arrives, my little soul is revived. Warm breezes, longer days and budding trees and flowers are on the horizon. Spring also means Erie's seasonal businesses open! Here are some things I am looking forward to this spring.

Presque Isle State Park might just be one of my favorite places on the planet. The beaches are gorgeous, trails meander through the park, and kayaking in the lagoons is a magical experience. 

Spring also means Sara's opens! Counting down the days until April 1 so I can order the first Sara's meal of the season. I typically order a cheeseburger with all the fixings and onion rings. If I am feeling extra hungry, I will also get the Hot Fudge Sundae Milkshake. Sara's is conveniently located right outside the entrance of Presque Isle State Park, so on warm nights I love to eat on the beach. 

Pier 6 opens soon as well. This restaurant along the bayfront is one of my favorite spots for brunch and rooftop drinks. The sunset views here are top-notch. Did you know Erie (unofficially) has the 3rd best sunset in the world? View a gorgeous Erie sunset from Pier 6 and you will understand why.
