My bread journey offically began on Sunday, March 3. My life and my kitchen will never be the same.

It all started when a new coworker brought in homemade bread for everyone in the office. It was delicious! She told me it was a super easy recipe and I was very intrigued. I have been wanting to start my bread jounrey, but sourdough and starters are a little intimidating. 

I could not stop thinking about this bread, so I researched the recipe and decided to go for it. A few days later I bought my first Dutch oven. I ordered a beautiful blue Cruisiant Dutch oven, some instant rise yeast and got to work on a sunny Sunday.


I made two loaves of bread in eight hours and both loaves turned out pretty tasty for a newbie! From start to finish this recipe takes about a little under 4 hours for one loaf, but 2-3 hours is for the proofing process. You do not need to knead this dough, which cuts the work in half.
