Ruffle My Feathers

I have mentioned feather hair extensions here and here, but because it is becoming such a big hair trend, I feel I should write a post about it. I have noticed many celebrities rocking the feathers, both on the red carpet and in TV shows, such as Pretty Little Liars. At first, I wasn't a fan, but the more I see it, I more I am warming up to the idea. I might even give it a try. I am going on vacation in a few weeks, I think that would be the perfect opportunity to give the feather trend a whirl. I am a big fan of the natural-looking feather extensions. I don't care for the bright colored ones, but that's probably because it's not my style and I don't think I could pull it off. Here are a few of my favorite celebs you are pulling off the feather extension trend with style and ease.

Lucy Hale

Selena Gomez

Victoria Justice

Belle Thorne

My personal favorites are Selena Gomez and Belle Thorne. I like how Selena's extension is soft and sweet and at first glance looks like a highlight. Belle Thorne has gorgeous hair color and I like how she has the extensions under her hair. The cool thing about these feather extensions is that they can be treated just like your real hair. You can wash it, blow-dry it, curl it, straighten it, etc. Many hair salons are offering feather extensions, and you may also be able to find them at a kiosk at your mall. There is a kiosk at the mall that is selling them for $10 per feather and $6 for each additional feather. They also put the feather in your hair. You can choose where you want it to be, and they just use a tiny clamp to secure it near your scalp. It is easy to put in and take out and doesn't damage your hair. I like the sound of that!
What do you think of this trend? Have you or would you try it? I'm really considering it, and if I get it done I will be sure to post pictures!

  1. I like the feather trend if it is done right. I like the ones that just blend into your hair. I'm not a fan of the bulky ones that are pictured in some of the pictures you posted. My friend has one and it blends just right. I however, will probably not follow this trend.
