Beauty Products Haul and Review!

During my last two shopping trips I picked up some of my new favorite beauty products, and I am so excited to share them with you! So, let's get right into it!

L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base, $12.99
After watching Elle's video on this primer on Elle&Blair.com, I definitely wanted to give this face primer a try. I have bought Smashbox Photo Finish in the past and I love it, but it is just too expensive. I have used this primer a few times already and it is definitely a great buy! My only issue is that it does make my face a bit oily. I am going to Ulta soon, and I will definitely be picking up some face blotting tissues to combat this minor issue, but other than that I definitely recommend this product!

Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder in Stay Beige, $20
This is the product I am most excited to tell you about! I have never been so excited and so in love with makeup! I have tried so many different foundations and each one had their pros and cons, but I only have great things to say about this foundation! It blends perfectly and gives me flawless, natural looking coverage. I love love love this product! Best 20 dollars I have ever spent! If you're looking for a great foundation definitely go to your nearest Clinique counter!

Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion, $14
I purchased this at the same time I bought the Stay-Matte foundation. It is another great buy! I used to only use the Mary Kay Blemish Control Toner, but I ran out a while ago so I decided to ask the wonderful girl who helped me at the Clinique counter if she could recommend a toner that also helped fight breakouts. She told me about this product and I figured I would give it a shot. Although it says its a clarifying lotion, it is definitely a liquid. I have used it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, for a few days now and I can see a dramatic difference in my skin complexion and tone. It is my new favorite skincare product and I will definitely be buying this again when I run out, which will be in a long time because it's a huge bottle!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Medium 25, $6.49
Aside from trying to find the perfect foundation, I have also been trying to find a new concealer. I have heard a lot of great things about the Fit Me line by Maybelline, so I decided to give their concealer a go. And boy am I glad I did! I love it! It blends and covers problem areas perfectly! If you are wondering whether to try the Fit Me line, I would definitely give it a try. If the concealer is this great, I bet the foundations are just as wonderful!

N.Y.C. Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm in Sugar Kiss
I found this at the Dollar Store of all places! I loved the color and have a thing for lip products so I picked it up. Plus, for only one dollar, how could I say no? It keeps my lips very moist and gives them just a hint of color. I may have to go back to find more colors!

Cosmetic Wedges, $1.99
I bought these because the girl who worked at the Clinique counter used them when she applied my foundation. It was a great tool and blended the pressed powder flawlessly. I knew I wouldn't like the applicator that comes with the foundation, so when I was at Target I picked up this bag of 32 wedges for $2. Pretty great deal!

Have you tried any of the products above? What did you think of them? What are some beauty products you have picked up lately?

  1. thanks for sharing about the primer! I watched Elle's video as well and it had me curious! Will probably purchase that as my next new primer! I haven't heard good things about the Fit Me Foundation :( I currently have the blush and bronzer in it and like it, I don't think it's anything to really brag about. BUT, like you said, I have heard good things about the concealer! Thanks for sharing!!!
