After working all day, I meet up with some friends to go watch the fireworks on the river. I knew I wouldn't want to wear my work outfit, so I packed a change of clothes. I created the outfit shown above on
Polyvore (I am addicted to that site) so the items are not the exact same as mine, but they are pretty close. I didn't own anything too festive, but I have had the blue and white striped shirt for years and I love it. I bought mine from Old Navy a few years back and I think it was on sale for about $8. It is probably my favorite go-to piece. I can wear it with anything. Jeans and riding boats in the winter. Shorts or a beige skirt in the summer/fall. It's so versatile and I love it! My favorite jean shorts were a must. The ones I have are from H&M. I did an H&M haul a few months ago when I bought them and a few other great items. Check out that post
here. I knew we would have to park far away and do a lot of walking, so I opted for my beige Keds. I love Keds. I don't know why, but I do. For accessories, I wore some simple wooden bangles that I bought off a street merchant in NYC the first time I ever went there. They were only a dollar per bracelet! On my nails, I did something a little different. I wore N.Y.C Big Apple Red Creme polish, and on my ring fingers, I used Disco Ball from Forever 21's Love & Beauty nail polish collection. It adds a bit of fun and glitter without being over the top.

What do you think of my outfit and nail polish? What did you wear for the Fourth of July festivities?
