OOTD: Movie Night
Last night, one of my best friends from high school and I went to the movies and saw Monte Carlo! It was such a cute film! I may be 22, but I am sucker for any kind of film. Did you know they are making a new Winnie the Pooh movie? I will definitely be seeing it opening weekend! I grew up with Pooh Bear and Piglet, and I cannot wait to see their new adventure! Plus, age is just a number right?
Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, and Katie Cassidy were prefect in the movie, and now all I went to do is go to Paris and have a whirlwind vacation of mistake identity. The movie was full of beautiful scenery, gorgeous ball gowns and, of course, the great actors. If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend it. And if you have seen it, let me know what you thought about the movie.
Now onto the fun part of this post! What I wore. Yesterday, was so warm and so nice. I decided to wear my favorite pair of jeans shorts, a racerback striped top, and I threw a sweater in my purse in case I got cold in the movie theater. (Surprisingly, I never had to pull out my sweater. That was definitely a first.) I pulled my hair back into a low, messy braid. Applied minimal makeup, and was out the door.
I love the ruffle detail on the tank. It adds a feminine touch to what would be a rather dull striped top if it weren't there. I have been putting my hair in a loose braid for a few weeks now, and it has become one of my favorite looks. I will be doing a hair post on braids in the next few days so be on the lookout. What do you think of this casual night outlook? What would you wear to the movies?
Racerback tank from Target
Jean shorts from H&M
Vintage brown weave belt that was my dads
On my feet, I wore brown t-strap sandals from Forever 21

I love that tank top!! Exactly what you said-the ruffle adds just a touch of femininity and without it would be just a boring old tank top ;) AND I too want to see the Winnie the Pooh movie...and I'm almost 28!
ReplyDeleteThe scene where they open up a suitcase full of MAC products? Man!
ReplyDeleteI wore that same tank top today! It looks super cute with the denim shorts. I got it because it is nice for work and casual. The ruffle really does add a nice touch, I also like the back.
