DIY Shelf Makeover

Spray paint has struck again. When I was living in New York City, I purchased this shelf for the bathroom. Once I moved to a smaller apartment in the city, I passed it along to my brother. It has made it's way back to me, but at first I wasn't sure how I would incorporate it into my living space. It was a little beat up from all of its travels and the color didn't fit into my decor theme. Then I saw the white spray paint I had purchased for an earlier project... Bingo!

The top of the shelf was in rough shape. I stumbled on this adhesive and fell in love. From the white paint to the marble print adhesive, this shelf looks brand new and is possibly one of my favorite pieces in the apartment. Most of the items found on the shelves were purchased from Hobby Lobby. That store always has the best home decor pieces.
