DIY: Flower Power Sunnies

I cannot believe I have not mentioned this yet, but I am going to Bonnaroo! In less than two weeks, my friends and I are road tripping to Tennessee for a 4 day festival on a 700-acre farm! I am so excited! Some of my favorite bands are going to perform from Ellie Goulding, X Ambassadors, Borns, Halsey, and so many others! To prepare for this amazing trip, I have purchased far too many off the shoulder tops and not enough sunscreen, and I have been doing a lot of DIYs!
Every summer Dolce & Gabbana come out with beautiful sunglasses covered in floral applique and detailed gold accents. While I am not about to throw down a couple hundred bucks on sunglasses, I did want to create my own floral sunnies for Bonnaroo. I am taking my style to a level of Boho I never imaged, these sunglasses included. I love they way they turned out, and I can definitely see myself wearing them long after Bonnaroo comes and goes.

To make these Flower Power Sunnies, all you need is:
~ A pair (or two) of sunglasses
~ Appliques of your choice (I found mine at Hobby Lobby)
~ Glue gun

The first thing I did was sort out all the colors to see exactly what I was working with. I decided to play on the colors of the neutral sunnies and kept the flowers neutral as well. For the tortoise pair, I went crazy with color. By accident, this pair matches the Bonnaroo colors quite well. I found it best to create the color layout on the table before I started gluing. I absolutely love how they turned out and cannot wait to wear them at the festival!
