Monthly Favorites: January 2023

January was filled with cozy brunches at home, trying new things and weekly stops at a local coffee shop.

When I found the perfect pancake recipe that yields fluffy flap jacks everytime, I could not stop making them. When we are feeling particularly fancy, we will whip up a strawberry compote. It's an easy, simple and delicious Sunday tradition.

My friends and I joined a curling league at a local distillery, Altered State. We have played three times so far and right now we have a winning record of 2-1. It has been such a fun weekly event that helps me get out of the house during the week.

Tipsy Bean has great specialty coffee drinks and delicious baked goods. It's just down the road for me and on mornings when I needed a little pick me up, I zip over before heading into work. There is also an amazing chalk wall that changes every month. For January, the theme was Garfield's New Year.
