Erie Local Spotlight 2022: Cha Cha Curated Home Decor
I am loyal to my thrift shops, but I wish I had other secondhand shops to add to my rotation every once in a while. Now that I am writing this... Maybe I just thrift too much? Nah, that can't be it.
Decorative Vase. My favorite find! |
Over the weekend, my thrifty friend Alex introduced me to the best thrift shop, Cha Cha Curated Home Décor. When we arrived, Alex was pleasantly surprised to learn that the store had expanded! While looking around, the owner of the shop, a lovely woman, was telling us about the expansion and warned us the renovation was not over yet (read: some rooms were very messy), but take a look around and ask her any questions. In no time, I was completely entranced in a thrifting high.
Front Room |
The first two rooms were well-curated and organized. We barely browsed the first room and I already grabbed two items. As we moved further back into the shop, the rooms became a bit more undone. In some areas, vintage items were piled on top of tables while other piles were just on the ground. But that didn't bother me. If anything it just added to the thrill of the hunt!
Second Room |
After thoroughly reviewing each space (and getting overwhelmed once or twice), I had accumulated quite the haul. I ended up buying 8 items. My total was $18. That is a steal! Did I mention that nothing has a price tag? When you are finished shopping, the owner just looks over everything you found and gives you a price on the spot. I'm kind of into this system.
I am so glad Alex introduced me to this shop. I will definitely be frequenting Cha Cha's. There is a strong possibility I could be there on Saturday. In fact, I'm already planning on it.
