Thrifted & Styled: Home Decor

Now that Cha Cha's has opened the doors of their new location I feel back on my thrifting game. Since having Cha Cha's back in my thrift store rotation, the thrift trips have been fruitful. I've scored some great finds that have really refreshed the space and reinspired my love of styling home decor.

The bar cart in the dining room is one of my favorite areas to style each season. I recently found the framed botanical print at Cha Cha's for $12. When I saw it, I immediately knew it would hang above the bar cart. I love changing the art out every once in a while to bring new life to the room. The blue and gold trim is what sold me on the piece. That blue is almost a perfect match for our navy dining room. The gold bowl was a Thrifty Shopper purchase. The scalloped edges add a subtle, delicate touch. I haven't found the right items to display in the bowl yet, but pinecones might be a fun option in the fall.

I've been on the lookout for a glass citrus juicer and finally found one at Cha Cha's for two dollars a few weeks ago. That same day, I went home, scrubbed it clean, and made fresh-squeezed orange juice. One large naval orange made about a half cup of OJ. I'm looking forward to making more fresh squeezed juice once those Florida oranges are in season.

I am drawn to the color blue. The sky, the water, the home decor... I love blue. When I saw the gorgeous wine glasses with blue goblets and clear stems, I almost didn't buy them. When I asked about the price and each stem was only $2, I grabbed a set of four white and four red wine glasses. I am in love with them.

What I put out into my world, sometimes comes to fruition when it comes to my thrift wish list. That was the case with the glass citrus juicer and a metal tray. I've had my eyes peeled for a tray to display on our dining room table. I've had round trays and gold trays and wooden trays, but none of them have been quite right. I sound like Goldilocks, but it's true! I've been searching for a tray made with anything but wood. I spotted this metal tray as part of a darling coffee display at Cha Cha's. I was rehoming the cups to a nearby shelf and bringing this tray up front to cash out in no time. The best part - Maritza only charged me three dollars for this try. The metal makes the tray stand out but still compliments the space without feeling too farmhouse, which had me a little worried.

I am so happy with my recent purchases. These items helped give my space a whole new look and feel. It's amazing how just a few pieces can make a big difference on a small budget.
