What I Read: August 2023

I am in the middle of three books that aren't reeling me in, but I did manage to finish one book in August. I dove into a spooky thriller. I have been in the mood for some darker, scarier books lately. The cool air must have something to do with it.

The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

This book was a page-turner. I brought this with me on a work trip to Savannah to read while traveling. Luckily the flights were short, but reading made them feel even shorter. I am a fan of the rich people with secrets troupe. This had it all plus a housemaid with a bad track record. A horribly mean boss, a handsome husband, and small-town rumors make this book a winner. If you are looking for a quick and easy read with a wild ending, check this book out!
