Cute & Easy DIY Flower Mani

I love an at home manicure. Am I a mani master? Heck no, but I am all about saving a few bucks by skipping the salon. Aside from the mismatched nail trend I sported a few times, my nails are usually pretty basic. I tend to gravitate towards glossy polish, not a huge fan of the matte look. I'm not a fan of glitter polish. It's such a pain to get off.  I've said it once, I'll say it 100 times, my favorite polish is the Sally Hansen Insta Dri. It's $4 at Target, dries super fast, which I definitely need since I cannot sit still for very long, and is a great formula for a smooth application.
I wanted to spice up my nails with a cute spring design, but I also wanted to keep it a simple design that's almost foolproof. That's when I remembered seeing bobby pins used for creating fun and easy designs, from polka dots to little flowers. I opted for the floral design. I tried it two ways: a flower on every nail and an accent nail. I loved the way it turned out!

{ Pink Polish: Sugar Poppy // Maroon: Espresso // White: White on Time }

{ Yellow: OPI Sun, Sea and Sand In My Pants // White: White on Time //
Purple: Leapin Lilac (similar) // Essie Gel Top Coat }

As you can see, some of my flowers are a little wonky, but it's nothing a little practice can't fix. I think I might try a red polish with dark blue or black polka dots to create a simple version of a lady bug. How cute would that be?! I found this fun YouTube video of a few other designs to make using a bobby pin. I love the confetti polka dot look.
