Fall 2023: A Downtown Stroll on a Fall Day

There's a street in Downtown Erie that feels like walking through a scene in a Jane Austen novel. Brick buildings and ivy-covered walls adorn the block between French and State St. on 4th.

During a lunch break stroll on Wednesday, little yellow leaves could be seen fluttering from the branches above. Some trees are showing off their colors earlier than others, but for the most part the leaves are not quite at peak. Even in the beginning stages of transition, the colors of fall always mesmerize me. I am eager to visit Presque Isle in the coming weeks to see nature in the vivid red, orang, and yellows.
