Fall Books: Witchy Reads
The Ex Hex was my first foray into the witchy book genre... unless you count the Harry Potter books. If so, my love for witchy books started when I was nine, and I rediscovered my love of this fantasy realm last year.
Here are four witchy books I have loved:
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. I heard someone describe this book as Gilmore Girls meets Sabrina and I completely agree. Small-town charm, a family of good witches, grumpy warlocks, and spells gone wrong. If this sounds like something you might enjoy, pick up this book.
The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling. The sequel to The Ex Hex. If you liked the first book, you'll enjoy this witchy romance as well.
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. I read this book most recently. The TikTok hype around this book caught my attention. I was a bit hesitant, but Mika Moon drew me in. This is a very wholesome story about the lost being found. An easy read with a heartwarming story.
Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen. Zoey is an energetic 18-year-old spending the summer in the town her mother lived in before her untimely death. In an effort to learn more about her mother, she ends up learning about herself, friendships, and the freedom of letting go of the past. A slow burn that will warm your heart.
Well, what are you waiting for? Grab a book, get cozy, and prepare to be spellbound.
