Mary's Kitchen 2023: Spicy Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs are one of those foods I love to eat but never make at home. Part of that could be because, after 30-plus years, I still struggle to hard boil an egg. When I had a hankering for some deviled eggs a few weeks ago, I thought it would be a good time to test out a recipe. I found this recipe and got to work.

Instead of cooking eggs, I bought a bag of hard-boiled eggs, which certainly cut down the prep time but I wonder if I would go that route again. The texture was very rubbery so maybe next time I should just boil the eggs.


I made a few small changes to the recipe. Instead of hot sauce, I used Tobasco Sriracha. Instead of chives, I used fresh cilantro. I could put cilantro on everything! The last change I made using Tajin instead of Paprika for a bit of spice.

Overall, these were very tasty and the perfect light snack. I will definitely be making these again, possibly for a Buffalo Bills viewing party!. Now to find instructions on how to properly hard boil an egg...
