Fall Reads 2023: Spooky Szn Edition
Happy Friday and Happy October! Fall mode is activated and with the arrival of September, it's now officially spooky szn! More specially, it's spooky book szn! I will admit I love to read spooky books all year round, but there is something special about reading a spooky book on a chilly, fall evening.
I compiled a list of spooky szn books you should read and a list of books I plan to read this month. Let's get to it!
My Top 3 Spooky SZN Recommendations:
A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. This was a page-turner. I really liked the main character, Pippa. She is smart and determined. All the suspects and plot twists kept me guessing.
The End of Her by Shari Lapena. I read this book in almost one sitting on a rainy night. I just had to know if Patrick murdered his first wife. Lepena knows how to keep you guessing.
Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak. I read this book in one evening. This page-turner capitated me from page one. There are drawings scattered throughout this book that add another element to the words on the page. I highly recommend this thriller.
My Top 3 Spooky SZN TBR Pile:
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley. I am a big Lucy Foley fan. I am eager to dive into this book!
The Murdered House by Pierre Magnan. I picked this book up for one dollar at Werner Books! A thriller for a steal!
Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson. I read book one of this series back in May 2022. I am way overdue to read book two and cannot wait to reacquaint myself with Pippa.
What books are on your spooky szn list?
